Caregiver Support

The Children's Behavioral Health Bureau offers a support group for caregivers and families affected by youth substance use. The group meets every other Thursday at 5 p.m. and participants may join virtually or in-person. The conversations are facilitated by a Children's Behavioral Health Case Manager and a Family Support Partner.

About:

An evidence based, team approach where planning and implementation helps the family and client gain self-efficacy to identify and achieve their own goals and help themselves

Eligibility:

• Youth requires multi-system care (may include school, court, residential care, substance use providers, mental health providers, PCP, etc.)
• Youth that are out of home or at risk of out of home placement
• Youth and/or family are in need of a variety of services for support

About:
Parent Education offers resources, parenting classes, and workshops in English and Spanish that lead to healthy children and families.

A variety of classes are offered throughout Arlington County or virtually. Visit The Parenting Toolkit to browse current classes and to register your family or make a referral.

Eligibility:
All Arlington parents welcome; special programs available for parents identified as at-risk of child abuse or neglect. No age requirement.
