Open Data Advisory Group
The Open Data Advisory Group (ODAG) is created with the aim of enabling the Arlington community to help inform government policy development and decision making through the use of data-driven analysis. The ODAG is comprised of residents, business owners, open data partners such as the Sunlight Foundation and Code for America and members of several County Commissions. Group members will serve staggered two-year terms, after which time they’ll be reappointed or replaced by a selection process that is based on qualifications for meeting ODAG responsibilities and diversity of the Group.
The ODAG is tasked with helping to grow the County’s Open Data Program in order to:
- better engage community members in decision making processes;
- inspire the creation of innovative application and service delivery solutions;
- extend and improve community outreach by publicizing open data initiatives and
- provide recommendations for improvement/expansion of the Open Data Portal
The next meeting will be held in TBD; this page will be updated with the specific information. All meetings are open to the public. Agenda and meeting minutes will be posted to this site.
