Retiree Open Enrollment

Open Enrollment is May 1 to May 19

Open Enrollment is the opportunity to make insurance changes.  Any changes you make will be effective July 1^st.   Below is some important news regarding the County’s retiree insurance plans.

There are no in-person Open Enrollment events this year. But don’t worry—we’re still available via email or phone if you have any questions or if you need any help. 

Please remember there is nothing for you to do unless you need to make changes for July 1. You will stay enrolled in the same insurance plans. 

What’s New for July 1?

• FY24 Cost-of-Living Adjustments:
  • For Chapter 21 retirees, the COLA is 1.5%
  • For Chapter 46 retirees, the COLA is 5.5%
• Cigna and Kaiser HMO premium rates are increasing effective July 1. Delta Dental premiums are unchanged.

IMPORTANT NOTE:   Kaiser Medicare Advantage and UHC Medicare Advantage rates are not changing at this time. We will announce potential changes to Medicare plans in the fall of 2023.  Any changes will not be effective until January 1, 2024.
