HealthSmart

Health and wellness are important, regardless of age. Preventing chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and heart disease can help us save money, remain active and independent and can allow us to enjoy time with family and friends.

HealthSmart is happy to promote the health and well-being of current employees and retirees. A variety of services and programs are offered to promote health and prevent disease. The programs and services listed below are available to both current County employees and retirees.

Blood Pressure Screenings

HealthSmart offers free blood pressure screenings at the HealthSmart Clinic to benefits eligible retirees who do not use Medicare. The clinic staff will be able to verify eligibility by secure and confidential email to HealthSmart Clinic. A Parking Pass is available with an advance appointment.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Arlington County retirees continue to have access to the EAP services, even after they retire. The Arlington County EAP provides free and confidential support related to personal concerns. Services include support groups, consultations and information. EAP can also refer clients to long-term or more specialized services when appropriate. Movement Classes

A variety of virtual group classes are offered including yoga, pilates, dance fitness, mindfulness and interval training! Classes are offered online using the ZOOM platform.  Participants may join at any time. Classes can be adapted to meet a different physical needs and abilities.
