If you have an active Certificate of Occupancy application that was submitted between January 1, 2020, and February 27, 2023, you will need to submit a help desk ticket to have the record linked to your Permit Arlington account. If you do not already have a Permit Arlington account, you will need to create one.

Permit Arlington now available

Permit Arlington permits offer:

  • Online applications;
  • Online plan review and revisions;
  • Online payment;
  • Email notifications; and
  • Permit process tracking through your online account.

Additional permits will move online as system development continues. Until a permit’s transition, it will continue to be processed through current options.

Available anywhere, anytime

The Permit Arlington system is available 24/7. You can apply from your computer or mobile device. Because applications, supporting documents, and payments are collected online, you no longer need to make a trip to the Arlington County Permit Office.
