MEDIA ALERT: Crystal City Metro Station East Entrance Groundbreaking

The public and the media are invited to a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of the Crystal City Metro Station East Entrance project on Fri., July 12, 2024.

This project will add another access point into the Metro station from Crystal Drive, and will provide increased connectivity to the Virginia Railway Express (VRE), Amtrak, local transit and bike options, and the future connection to the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.

The second entrance represents a multi-year, collaborative effort between Arlington County, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT), the United States Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration, and the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA)

  • This event will be held outdoors. In the case of inclement weather, the event will move into the JBG Smith marketing center at the same address.
