REPORTS

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-05200177, 1600 block of S. Eads Street. At approximately 3:26 p.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to the report of an indecent exposure. Upon arrival it was determined that a witness observed a male suspect exposing himself outside of an apartment complex. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect with negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, between 40-50 years old with black hair and a beard wearing a black sweatsuit with a gray t-shirt underneath. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-05200230, 2400 block of S. Lowell Street. At approximately 6:24 p.m. on May 20, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival it was determined that unknown suspects made entry into a vacant residence and fled the scene before police arrived. No suspect(s) description is available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-05210043, 1800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 6:57 a.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 6:30 a.m., the known suspect attempted to gain entry to the victim’s residence. The suspect left the scene prior to police arrival. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED GRAND LARCENY AUTO/VEHICLE TAMPERING (Series), 2024-05210158/2024-05210170/2024-05210215, 2800 block of Crystal Drive/3400 block of Potomac Avenue/1700 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 3:14 p.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of a vehicle tampering. It was determined between approximately 1:38 p.m. and 2:27 p.m., the male suspect entered the parking garage and tampered with two vehicles and a motorcycle. Security personnel verbally confronted the suspect and he subsequently left the area. During the course of the investigation, an additional vehicle was determined to be tampered with in a garage in the 3400 block of Potomac Avenue and personal items stolen. A vehicle, a 2012 Kia with Ohio license plate HVB2615, was reported stolen from a parking garage in the 1700 block of Crystal Drive. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30 years old, 5’5’-5’8” wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2024-05210067, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 9:13 a.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. It was determined at approximately 3:20 a.m., the male suspect entered the closed business and stole an ATM containing an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the scene in a black SUV. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male wearing all black clothing and a black face mask. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2024-05210164, 4400 block of N. Old Glebe Road. At approximately 2:13 p.m. on May 21, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 6:25 p.m. on May 20, three juvenile male suspects attempted to make entry into the victim’s unoccupied home before entering another building on the property and subsequently leaving the scene. No items were reported stolen. The involved juveniles were identified and the investigation is ongoing.
