REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2024-08300023, 2000 block of N. Adams Street. At approximately 4:29 a.m. on August 30, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, were inside a residence when they became involved in a verbal dispute during which the suspect brandished a firearm and struck the victim with it, resulting in a laceration. The suspect then discharged the firearm inside the residence, striking a wall. The victim subsequently exited the home and called police. The victim sustained non life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Responding officers established a perimeter and conducted a search of the residence for the suspect yielding negative results. During the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect and obtained warrants for Malicious Wounding, Missile Into an Occupied Dwelling, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony and Reckless Handling of a Firearm. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-08290163, 4300 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:11 p.m. on August 29, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business and began yelling at an employee before entering a back area and allegedly stealing food items. The employee attempted to recover the food items and a struggle ensued during which the suspect struck the employee before fleeing the scene on foot. The employee sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect inside a nearby business and took him into custody. Orlando Mullins, 29, of Clinton, Md. was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.
