REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2023-03230252, 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 7:44 p.m. on March 23, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise and attempted to leave without paying when he was confronted by a store employee. A verbal dispute ensued, during which the suspect struck the employee with his fist. A witness attempted to intervene and the suspect physically assaulted him. The employee then deployed pepper spray and sprayed the suspect. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment and the victims were evaluated by medics on scene. Josue Sierra Lopez, 35, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery (x2) and Robbery. He was held without bond.
