REPORTS
BURGLARY (Late), 2023-06010037, 3300 block of 23rd Road N. At approximately 4:08 a.m. on June 1, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 3:45 a.m., the known male suspect allegedly gained entry to the residence and approached the female victim. She pushed him away and notified another resident of the home who confronted the suspect and he left the residence. Responding officers canvassed the area and located the suspect in the area of N. Fillmore Street and 24th Street N. The suspect attempted to flee on foot and following a brief foot pursuit, officers took him into custody. During a search of his person incident to arrest, officers recovered suspected narcotics. The suspect was evaluated by medics on scene and was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. No other injuries were reported. Isaiah Wells, 20, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault & Battery, Assault and Battery and Possession of Schedule I/II Narcotics.
