REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2022-09280203, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 7:59 p.m. on September 28, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that approximately 10 minutes prior, a security guard observed the two unknown female suspects allegedly attempting to conceal merchandise. The security guard confronted them and asked them to leave, during which he placed the merchandise on the counter. A short time later, the suspects returned, grabbed the merchandise and attempted to leave the store, during which Suspect One displayed a knife and verbally threatened the security guard. The suspects then fled the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. Suspect One is described as a Black female, wearing a black bonnet and denim jacket. Suspect Two is described as a heavy-set Black female, with black braids or dreads, wearing plaid pants. The investigation is ongoing.
