REPORTS
ROBBERY (late), 2022-01180062, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 7:37 a.m. on January 18, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that suspect attempted to purchase merchandise inside a business and left when the employee requested identification. The suspect then reentered the business, ran behind the counter, pushed the employee to the ground and struck him multiple times, before stealing a set of keys and merchandise. He fled the scene on foot and arriving officers conducted a search of the area with negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-20’s, approximately 6’0” to 6’4”, wearing a black hat, blue surgical mask, long green jacket, dark sweatpants, and dark colored shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2022-01180139, 200 block of N. Piedmont Street. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on January 18, police were dispatched to the report of an attempted breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim left the known suspect’s personal items outside her residence and when he came to pick them up, he attempted to kick the victim’s door in. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
