REPORTS
RECOVERED STOLEN AUTO (Significant), 2022-04210118, S. Abingdon Street at 30th Street S. At approximately 2:37 p.m. on April 22, police were dispatched to assist Virginia State Police who had been in pursuit of a stolen vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Arlington County on April 21. The driver, along with two male occupants, had exited the stolen vehicle at S. Abingdon Street at 30th Street S. and fled the scene on foot. Responding officers established a perimeter and canvassed the area with negative results. There is no suspect description for the driver. The two occupants are described as Black males in their teens to early 20’s, one wearing a blue hoodie, one wearing a black hoodie, both with the hoods up. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2022-04240142, N. Meade Street at Arlington Boulevard. At approximately 3:35 p.m. on April 24, police were dispatched to the police station for the late report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that approximately 35 minutes prior, the victim was jogging in the area when the unknown male suspect approached, grabbed her by the arm and pushed her away while attempting to remove her cell phone from her hand. A brief struggle ensued, during which the suspect stole the victim’s cell phone before fleeing the scene in a white sedan. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require the treatment of medics. The suspect is described as a Black male with a slim build, approximately 20-35 years old, 5’10”, wearing a white shirt and dark jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
