Police Investigate Shots Fired in Fairlington

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Arlington County Police Department’s Homicide/Robbery Unit is investigating a shots fired incident which occurred in the Fairlington neighborhood on the morning of October 19, 2021.
At approximately 9:40 a.m., police were dispatched to the report of a shooting in the 4400 block of 31st Street S. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect approached the area in a vehicle, exited and fired shots towards two individuals sitting outside a residential building. The suspect then reentered the vehicle and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
The suspect is described as a Black male with medium length dreadlocks and wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a black neck gaiter. The suspect vehicle is described as a dark blue Toyota Prius.
This remains an active criminal investigation.
