REPORTS
ASSAULT & BATTERY ON POLICE, 2021-11250093, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:51 a.m. on November 25, an officer on patrol was flagged down by employees of a business for the report of a suspect allegedly making threats. A lookout was broadcast, and, while en route to the call, another officer observed the suspect nearby and detained the visibly intoxicated individual. Employees of the business declined prosecution for the threats and wished to have him banned from the premises; however, the suspect was placed under arrest for being drunk in public. When officers attempted to search the suspect incident to arrest, he actively resisted, kicking an officer and their patrol vehicle. The suspect then attempted to bite an officer multiple times as he wrapped his legs around them and continued to actively resist. Officers attempted to continue to search the suspect on the ground, and he continued to resist by kicking and flailing, striking an officer and causing a laceration. The suspect refused to identify himself and attempts to determine his identity were unsuccessful. John Doe was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery on Law Enforcement (x2), Obstruction of Justice, and Drunk in Public, and held on no bond.
ASSAULT & BATTERY ON POLICE, 2021-11260168, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 10:16 p.m. on November 26, police were dispatched to assist with the removal of an intoxicated individual inside a closed business. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the individual and attempted to have him leave the property. The individual was uncooperative and as the officers attempted to place him into custody, he ran and fell a short distance away. Once in custody, the individual continued to act disorderly and spat at the officers. While being transported to an area hospital for medical clearance prior to booking, he bit an officer’s finger. Upon arrival at booking, he refused to exit the transport vehicle and had to be carried inside. Michael Webb Jr., 26, of Landover, MD, was arrested and charged with Assault on Police (x2), Obstruction, Drunk in Public and served with an outstanding warrant out of Fairfax County, VA.
ROBBERY, 2021-11250128, 1600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 6:12 p.m. on November 25, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered a business and began looking at merchandise. An employee of the business approached the suspect and made a comment about the merchandise, then began to walk towards the counter. The suspect followed him, allegedly implied he had a firearm, and demanded the victim provide an undisclosed amount of cash from the cash registers. The suspect took the cash and fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’10”-5’11”, with light skin, wearing a green camouflage sweatshirt, silver beanie, gray sweatpants, a gray face mask, and sneakers. The vehicle is described as silver Subaru WRX. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2021-11280140, 2300 block of 11th Street N. At approximately 4:24 p.m. on November 28, police were dispatched to the late report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 2:00 a.m., the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by the three unknown suspects. Suspect One demanded that the victim give him his wallet and cell phone. When the victim refused, Suspect One pushed him from behind, causing him to fall to the ground, stole his jacket and fled the scene on foot with the two other suspects. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 6’0”, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. There is no description for Suspect Two and Suspect Three. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late), 2021-11280083, 4500 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 8:06 a.m. on November 28, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 1:45 a.m. and 7:50 a.m., the unknown suspect(s) entered into the victim’s residence through a window and stole the victim’s wallet containing credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash, personal documentation and car keys. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the victim’s vehicle had also been entered into and rummaged through. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late), 2021-11280129, 2300 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 3:04 p.m. on November 28, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:55 p.m., the victim was inside of the closed business when he heard a loud noise coming from the entrance door. The victim went to investigate and observed that the door had been forced open and the lock was dented, however, no entry was believed to have been made inside. No other items were damaged and no items were reported stolen. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2021-11270125, 3400 block of 25th Street S. At approximately 3:45 p.m. on November 27, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was inside her residence when the known suspect attempted to gain entry unsuccessfully by kicking the door and throwing rocks at the window. A warrant for Attempted Burglary was obtained for the suspect.
