REPORTS
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2021-11160087, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 11:13 a.m. on November 16, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the male suspect and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined that the suspect allegedly presented a store employee with a note demanding money from the cash register. James Brown, 71, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held on no bond.
BURGLARY (Series) (Late), 2021-11160036/11160044, 2700 block of S. Glebe Road/4200 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 7:08 a.m. on November 16, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary in the 2700 block of S. Glebe Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:30 a.m., the two unknown male suspects forced entry into the business by breaking a window. The suspects then unsuccessfully attempted to enter into the secure area where the cash register was located before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. During the course of the investigation, officers located a second business in the 1000 block of W. Glebe Road with signs of attempted forced entry, however no entry was believed to have been made inside. At approximately 7:56 a.m., police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary in the 4200 block of Columbia Pike. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 10:00 p.m. on November 15 and 6:08 a.m. on November 16, the unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the business by breaking a window and stole a set of keys belonging to a vehicle parked on the premises. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 5’8”, 150 pounds, wearing a blue jacket, dark pants and gray sneakers. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, approximately 6’0” – 6’2”, 160 pounds, wearing all black clothing. The suspect vehicle is described as a gray sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
