Arlington County Sheriff's Office K9 Logan is Certified in Cell Phone

Published on July 14, 2021

The Arlington County Sheriff's Office canine, Logan, is now certified in cell phone and flash (USB & hard) drive detection after 48 hours of specialized training. He is now one of three dogs in Virginia that are certified in electronic detection.

Logan was originally a rescue dog that was donated to the Arlington County Sheriffs Office by the Maryland Department of Public Safety & Correctional Services. He was then paired with his partner Corporal Matthew Camardi and went through a certified drug detection training program of 320 hours in April 2020. Logan and Corporal Camardi train three full days a month to maintain their certifications.

Logan enjoys lounging in a kiddie pool full of water in Carmardi's family's back yard in his leisure time.
