REPORTS


ELUDING (Significant), 2020-05050073, 2500 block of 9TH Road S. At approximately 2:23 p.m. on May 5, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. The investigation determined a dispute between known individuals occurred inside a business. A responding officer, who was on foot, attempted to stop the vehicle in the parking lot. The driver allegedly did not comply, drove through a parking gate and fled the scene. A lookout was broadcast and officers located the vehicle at Arlington Boulevard and 10th Street N. A traffic stop was initiated and the subjects were detained without incident. Victoria Lawson, 26, of Washington D.C. was arrested and charged with Felony Eluding, Felony Destruction of Property, Assault and Battery, Felony Child Abuse and Neglect (x4) and Possession of Marijuana.

BURGLARY, 2020-05050071, 1400 block of S. Eads Street. At approximately 2:15 p.m. on May 5, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim heard noise inside his residence and saw the door slam shut. The victim observed the unknown male suspect in the hallway and confronted him, however, he denied entering the apartment and fled prior to police arrival. It was later determined that items of value had been stolen from the residence when the victim was alerted to fraudulent activity on his credit card. The suspect is described as an older, light skinned black male, overweight, approximately 5'9", wearing a blue jacket, camouflage backpack, and carrying a bag. The investigation is ongoing.
