REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2020-03070146, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 4:18 p.m. on March 7, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined that a verbal dispute between known individuals escalated and the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times. Officers arriving on scene rendered aid to the victim, then located the suspect and took her into custody without incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Stephanie Batol, 28, of Fairfax, Va., was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding.
WEAPONS VIOLATION, 2020-03070112, 2600 block of S. Troy Street. At approximately 3:45 a.m. on March 7, police were dispatched to the report of shots heard. Upon arrival, officers canvased the area, but located no evidence or victims of a shooting. At approximately 2:24 p.m. on March 7, police were again dispatched to the area for the report of shell casings located. Officers located and collected the casings. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2020-03060082, 400 block of 12
th Street S. At approximately 10:32 a.m. on March 6, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 2:51 a.m., an unknown suspect gained entry to a business and stole items of value and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a black male. The investigation is ongoing.
