TRAFFIC ALERT: 2019 Shirlington Shucktoberfest

ARLINGTON, Va. — The Shirlington Shucktoberfest, sponsored by the Copperwood Tavern, will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Set up will begin at approximately 6:00 a.m. and cleanup should be completed by 7:00 p.m. The Arlington County Police Department will conduct the following road closures during that time period in order to accommodate the event:

• Campbell Avenue, from Arlington Mill Drive to S. Quincy Street


• S. Randolph Street, from Arlington Mill Drive to the alley behind the businesses on the south side of Campbell Avenue

Street parking in the area will be restricted and motorists should be on the lookout for temporary "No Parking" signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, call 703-558-2222.

Additionally, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or exit the covered Harris Teeter parking structure onto Campbell Ave.  Harris Teeter customers can access the parking garage via the alternate entrance behind the store.

Drivers are reminded that traffic in the immediate area will be impacted by the event and parking will be limited. Attendees are encouraged to utilize ridesharing, multimodal and public transportation options to reduce vehicular congestion.
