REPORTS


ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2019-05110181, 3800 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 3:45 p.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 3:30 p.m., the known suspect approached the victims inside of a residence and became verbally irate over a missing item. The encounter escalated and the suspect and one of the victims became involved in a physical altercation. The suspect then produced a hammer and began swinging it at the victims. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. None of the victims were injured during the incident. Arriving officers located the suspect walking in the area. Kemoh Sesay, 27, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding (x3). He was held on no bond.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY - VEHICLE (series), 2019-05110081/05110088/05110096, 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive/4500 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive/1100 block of S. Thomas Street. At approximately 7:28 a.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to the report of destruction of property. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 8:30 p.m. on May 10 and 6:30 a.m. on May 11, the tires of approximately 22 vehicles parked in the area were slashed. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2019-05100277, 5000 block of 24th Street S. At approximately 7:34 p.m. on May 10, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 11:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., an unknown suspect forced entry to a residence, causing damage, and stole items of value. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that during the same time frame, an unknown suspect(s) tampered with the lock on a door to another residence in the area, causing damage, but did not gain entry. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2019-05100159, 2300 block of 2nd Street S. At approximately 2:23 p.m. on May 10, police were dispatched to the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female suspect entered a store and allegedly began concealing merchandise. A store employee confronted the suspect as she approached the store exit and a physical struggle ensued, in which the suspect struck the employee, resulting in minor injuries. The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Arriving officers located the suspect in the area, still in possession of stolen merchandise. Michelle Hawkins, 42, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Robbery.

ROBBERY, 2019-05110132, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 11:06 a.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to the report of a shoplifter in custody with loss prevention. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect was allegedly exiting a store in possession of merchandise he had not paid for when he was confronted by loss prevention. A physical altercation ensued, in which the suspect attempted to push past the loss prevention employee and struck the employee multiple times before being detained. Daquon Williams, 25, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Robbery.
