REPORTS

ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT, 2019-06180262, I-395 SB at Washington Boulevard. At approximately 10:45 p.m. on June 18, an officer on routine patrol observed an improperly stopped vehicle on the highway and effected a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, the officer observed the three occupants engaged in a verbal dispute. The officer instructed the occupants to cease their dispute and show their hands. The driver and one passenger complied, however, the third continued to yell, threatening another occupant, and disobeyed multiple lawful commands from the officer to comply. The suspect refused to exit the vehicle and actively resisted when the officer attempted to remove her from the vehicle. A brief struggle ensued, in which the suspect struck the officer multiple times. With the assistance of additional arriving officers, the suspect was taken into custody, but continued to actively resist once placed in handcuffs. Selena Rosa, 22, of Clinton, Md., was arrested and charged with Assault & Battery on Law Enforcement and Obstruction of Justice.

ROBBERY, 2019-06180251, 1500 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 10:21 p.m. on June 18, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when she was approached by a group of four teenagers asking for change. When the victim declined, the group of suspects circled around her and attempted to grab the victim's personal belongings. A brief physical struggle ensued and the suspects were able to steal some of the victim's belongings, which were later recovered nearby. Arriving officers canvased the area with negative results. The suspects are described as two black males and two black females, all ages 12-15. The investigation is ongoing.
