Updated October 20: To best accommodate the race and to maximize the safety and security of runners and spectators, many road closure times have been extended. Previously reported closures have been marked with a strikethrough. nd Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) and the MCM10K will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Opening ceremonies for the MCM begin at 6:30 a.m., with the wheelchair/hand cycle division starting at 7:40 a.m., on Route 110 in Arlington, Va. The Arlington County Police Department, Virginia State Police, United States Park Police, and Pentagon Force Protection Agency will be closing multiple roadways in support of these events.

Exit 8B, Southbound 395 exit to Southbound Route 1. Motorists seeking to enter Crystal City are advised to continue south, take exit 7 (Glebe Road), and make a left at the traffic signal to travel south on Glebe Road. Continue south for approximately 2 miles, where Glebe Road intersects with both S. Eads Street and Route 1. Both thoroughfares lead into Crystal City.

Additionally, the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Department and United States Park Police will close multiple roadways in Washington, D.C., in support of the race. Please contact these agencies directly for information regarding their road closures.
At 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, October 21, 2017,
N. Kent St. will be closed from Wilson Blvd. to N. 19
th St. N. Kent St. will reopen at the conclusion of the MCM on Sunday, October 22, 2017.
Street parking in the area will be restricted. Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary "No Parking" signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, call the Emergency Communication Center at 703-558-2222.
The Marine Corps Marathon recommends that runners arrive two hours prior to start time to proceed through the security checkpoint, drop off bags and line up in the appropriate corral. Runners are encouraged to use public transportation and the Metro will open at 6 a.m. on Marathon Day. The closest Metro access to the start is the Pentagon station on the blue and yellow lines. Arlington Cemetery Station is the only station that will remain closed on Marathon morning until 8:30 a.m.
The following locations have been designated as Uber, Lyft, Taxi and ridesharing pickup and drop off locations:
- Race start line: Amy Navy Drive at S. Fern Street
- Crystal City Family Festival: 2400 block of Crystal Drive
- Rosslyn Finish Festival: Area of Lee Highway at N. Moore Street (on the access road)
