TRAFFIC ALERT: 2017 Armed Forces Cycling Classic Crystal City

ARLINGTON, VA — The Armed Forces Cycling Classic bicycle race will take place in Crystal City on Sunday, June 11, 2017.  The Arlington County Police Department will close several streets in the Crystal City and Rosslyn areas from approximately 4:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to accommodate this event:

• Crystal Drive from S. 15^th Street through S. 23^rd Street


• Wilson Blvd. from N. Kent Street to the ramp of Route 110


• S. Clark Street from S. 20^th Street to S. 23^rd Street


• S. 20th Street from Crystal Drive to S. Clark Street


• S. 18^th street from Crystal Drive to Bell Street


• S. 23^rd Street from Crystal Drive to S. Clark Street


• Crystal Drive (West side) from S. 23^rd St to the Central Center Parking Garage

The following closure will take place from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.:

• Route 110 Rosslyn to Crystal City

Race attendees are encouraged to use Metro. The Crystal City station on the Blue and Yellow Lines is located in the middle of the race course at the corner of S. 18^th Street and Clark Street.

In addition, street parking in the area will be restricted. Motorists should be on the lookout for temporary "No Parking" signs. Illegally parked vehicles may be ticketed or towed. If your vehicle is towed from a public street, please call 703-228-4252 or the Emergency Communication Center at 703-558-2222.
