Highlights from the December 10 County Board Meeting

The Arlington County Board today took several actions at its December Regular Meeting. Among the highlights:

• Arlington Transfers Lynn Street Esplanade Project Construction to VDOT


• Contract Approved for Planning, Design of New Lubber Run Community Center


• County Board Approves New Regulations for School Height, Setbacks, Parking


• Arlington County to Allow and Regulate Short-Term Rentals

The Board also approved a new five-year agreement with cable company Comcast.

Upcoming Board Recessed Meeting

The Board's Recessed Meeting will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13. View the Agenda.

County Board Chair Libby Garvey, re-elected Nov. 9, will be sworn-in at 5 p.m., and a public reception will follow outside the Board Room.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., the Board will hear any items removed from the Consent Agenda on Saturday, December 10. The Board will consider the following Regular Hearing Items no earlier than 6:45 p.m.:

• Endorsing the concept for the I-395 Express Lanes Northern Extension and I-95/I-395 Transit/Transit Demand Management Study. (Item No. 40). View the staff report.
