County Board Adopts $3.9 Billion 10-Year Capital Improvement Plan

The Arlington County Board has unanimously approved a $3.9 billion ten-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) that focuses on stormwater management and flood response, climate and environmental programs, parks, transportation, and community infrastructure over the next decade.

Arlington County continues to be a national leader in technology, once again being recognized as the No. 1 Digital County by the Center for Digital Government and National Association of Counties. The 2022 award marks the fifth time that Arlington has received the top honor in the 150,000-249,999-population category.

Arlington Achieves Highest Walking Status Among American Communities

The County has been named among the top 5 Walk Friendly Platinum Communities in the U.S. this year by the University of North Carolina’s Highway Safety Research Center. It’s the first platinum-level rating for Arlington’s walkability after two gold-level designations in 2010 and 2015.
