BRANDISHING, 2021-10230212, S. Hayes Street at 12th Street S. At approximately 9:36 p.m. on October 23, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was looking for parking when she became engaged in a verbal altercation with the female subject who was accompanied by two males. After the victim parked her vehicle, the male suspect approached the victim and lifted his shirt to display a firearm before brandishing it towards the victim. The victim then left the area and contacted police. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’7” – 5’11”, early 20’s, 170 pounds, wearing a black hoodie, dark colored jeans and gray sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.

PEEPING, 2021-10230007, 2400 block of 3rd Street N. At approximately 12:19 a.m. on October 23, police were dispatched to the report of an individual tampering with a window. Upon arrival, it was determined that the female victim was insider her bedroom when she heard noise originating from the window. Upon opening her blinds, she observed the unknown suspect walking away from her window. The suspect is described as male with a stocky build, possibly Hispanic, approximately 5’9” to 5’11” tall and wearing black pants and a gray hoodie. The investigation is ongoing.

INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2021-10220186, 1700 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 7:55 p.m. on October 22, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, officers met with an employee of the building who informed them that the suspect was still in the area of the incident. Officers made contact with the suspect and it was determined that he had become involved in a verbal dispute with a group of individuals, during which they began throwing rocks at the suspect. The suspect then allegedly brandished a knife and exposed his genitals. The group of individuals left the area prior to the arrival of police. During the course of the investigation, a witness to the incident was located and provided with information about the process of obtaining warrants against the suspect. 

BURGLARY, 2021-10230017, 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 12:40 a.m. on October 23, an off-duty officer heard the suspects forcing entry into a secure residential building and, upon looking out of his window, observed the two suspects enter the building. The officer went to investigate and observed the suspects actively opening packages. Upon seeing the officer, the suspects fled the scene on foot. With the assistance of additional arriving officers, one juvenile suspect was located and taken into custody. Petitions against the juvenile are pending. Two previous package thefts were reported from the building earlier in the week. The investigation into these incidents and the identity of the outstanding suspect is ongoing.
