REPORTS


SEXUAL BATTERY, 2020-10040211, 4300 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 11:56 p.m. on October 4, police were dispatched to the report of a sexual assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the juvenile female victim was walking in the area when she observed the suspect following her. The suspect then approached the victim from behind and grabbed her buttocks. The victim pushed the suspect away and yelled for help, prompting the suspect to flee the scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25 — 35 years old, approximately 5'0" tall, chubby, with short black hair. He was wearing shorts and a dark blue shirt at the time of the incident. A silver Honda mini-van was observed by witnesses leaving the area immediately after the incident occurred. The investigation is ongoing.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2020-10020022, N. Highland Street at Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 2:30 a.m. on October 2, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims exited a business and were walking in the area when they were approached by a group of suspects who attempted to engage them in conversation. A verbal dispute ensued, during which one suspect got close to Victim One, prompting her to put her hand out to maintain space. The suspects threatened the victims, after which the dispute de-escalated. Shortly after, Victim One had returned to her vehicle nearby, and Victim Two was still in the area of the initial dispute when the suspects approached him again. The suspects exited a vehicle, assaulted Victim Two, then fled in the vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 6'0", wearing a green and camo hoodie with jeans. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, 5'7"-5'9". The other suspects in the group are described as two-three Hispanic males. The vehicle is described as a black Honda Accord, driven by a white subject. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT & BATTERY ON LAW ENFORCEMENT, 2020-10040056, Route 110 at Memorial Drive. At approximately 2:50 a.m. on October 4, an officer on patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. Officers made contact with the driver and passenger and it was determined that neither were properly licensed. When officers requested the passenger exit the vehicle to prepare to tow it, she became irate and exited, however, she then fled on foot. Officers located the passenger walking in the southbound lanes of Route 110 and attempted to make contact with her to ensure her safety. She refused to stop and continued walking in the travel lanes until an officer was able to escort her to a safer area off the roadway and detain her. The suspect ignored commands, began acting disorderly and yelled incoherent statements at officers. While attempting to stand her up, she kicked an officer and grabbed another officer's wrist. The suspect refused to identify herself, providing a false name, and had to be identified using law enforcement resources while in booking. Timberlyn Richardson, 26, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule I/II Substance, Assault and Battery on Police, Failure to ID, Obstruction of Justice, and Pedestrian on a Highway. She was held on no bond.

ROBBERY, 2020-10040207, 4500 block of Lee Highway. At approximately 11:20 p.m. on October 4, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined that two suspects entered a business and approached an employee at the counter. Suspect One pointed a knife at him, and told him to open the cash register, then began to take money from it. Suspect Two brandished a knife, then took money from the second register. As the suspects exited the business, they stole boxes of merchandise from behind the counter. The suspects then fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Suspect One is described as a Black male, medium build, 5'9"-6'0" wearing black pants, a black and brown parka with the hood up, a mask, and white shoes. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, wearing gray sweatpants, a black hoodie with the hood up, black shoes, and a green balaclava. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2020-10040189, 900 block of N. Monroe Street. At approximately 9:30 p.m. on October 4, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims heard noise coming from the door to their residence and observed the unknown suspect trying the door handle aggressively. The victim locked the deadbolt and attempted to communicate with the suspect, who continued trying the door handle unsuccessfully, then fled prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as wearing a black hoodie. The investigation is ongoing.
