REPORTS


RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE, 2020-05020209, 9th Street S. at S. Oakland Street. At approximately 11:46 p.m. on May 2, an officer was alerted to an LPR hit on a vehicle previously reported stolen out of Washington, D.C. The officer attempted a traffic stop, however, the driver eluded. The driver eventually stopped the vehicle at the intersection of 9th Street S. and S. Oakland Street and all four occupants fled on foot. Arriving officers apprehended three of the suspects. A perimeter was established and a helicopter responded to assist with the search for the outstanding suspect. A vehicle entered the perimeter with an individual in the rear seat matching the suspect description. The vehicle was stopped and the fourth suspect was apprehended without incident. Three of the occupants were released and charges are anticipated at a later date. The fourth suspect and alleged driver, Avery Robinson, 20, of Washington D.C., was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Stolen Goods, Eluding and Obstruction of Justice. He was held on a secured bond.

BURGLARY, 2020-05030133, 1000 block of N. Stuart Street. At approximately 10:46 p.m. on May 3, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that a resident of an apartment building heard noise coming from an area where packages are stored. Another resident allegedly observed the male suspect in the package area with several opened packages. Arriving officers detained him and determined he was in possession of multiple items stolen from the packages. Yeison Orellana Perez, 22, of Fairfax, Va., was arrested and charged with Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Felony and Possession of Burglarous Tools.

BURGLARY, 2020-05030045, 2000 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 7:05 a.m. on May 3, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined that the two victims were inside a locked business when the suspect allegedly forced entry by kicking the glass door. The victims exited through the rear of the business while the suspect followed and made threats. Arriving officers detained the suspect without incident. One juvenile victim was treated on scene by medics for minor injuries. Willie Jackson, 37, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Burglary, Unlawful Wounding, Felony Destruction of Commercial Property and Assault and Battery. He was held without bond.

BURGLARY, 2020-05040012, 600 block of N. Randolph Street. At approximately 2:04 a.m. on May 4, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined two suspects forced entry into a business while a third suspect waited outside. A witness yelled out to the suspects who then fled the scene in a dark sedan driven by a fourth suspect. Nothing was reported stolen. Suspect One is described as a black male, 17 — 20 years old, approximately 5'10" tall with an average build. He was wearing a blue hoodie and black jeans. Suspect Two is described as a black male, 17 — 20 years old, approximately 5'10" tall with an average build. He was wearing a black puffy hoodie, black pants and a black baseball hat. Suspect Three is described as a black male, 17 — 20 years old, approximately 6'0" tall with an average build. He was wearing a black leather jacket, black hoodie and black jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2020-05010136, 1900 block of N. Highland Street. At approximately 2:47 p.m. on May 1, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim located an unsecured entrance to the building between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. On a subsequent visit to the property, the victim located another entrance unsecured and items tampered with inside and contacted police. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2020-05020037, 1700 block of N. Troy Street. At approximately 3:49 a.m. on May 2, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 1:00 a.m. on May 1 and 1:30 a.m. on May 2, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to the victim's residence and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2020-05040014, 600 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 3:06 a.m. on May 4, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:55 a.m., unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a business and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2020-05010136, 1900 block of N. Highland Street. At approximately 2:47 p.m. on May 1, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., the victim located an unsecured entrance to the building. On a subsequent visit to the property, the victim located another entrance unsecured and items tampered with inside and contacted police. Nothing was reported missing from the property. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
