Crime Report: January 7, 2020

BURGLARY, 2020-01060227, 2800 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 8:10 p.m. on January 6, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 8:07 p.m. multiple suspects forced entry to a business and rummaged through items, however, nothing was reported stolen. The suspects are described as black males, wearing black hoodies with the hoods up, khaki pants, dark shoes and gloves. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2020-01060231, 4700 block of King Street. At approximately 8:45 p.m. on January 6, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that multiple suspects exited a vehicle, approached a business, forced entry and rummaged through items inside. The suspects then exited the business, stole four vehicles and damaged one other vehicle while leaving the property. The suspects are described as wearing dark clothing and jeans, with one suspect covering their face. The investigation is ongoing. Updated (1/8/20): A subsequent inventory check by the business determined two additional vehicles had been stolen, bringing the total number of stolen vehicles to six. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2020-01060250, 2400 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 10:39 p.m. on January 6, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was walking in the area when he was approached from behind and assaulted by two unknown suspects. The suspects took the victim's cell phone and fled in a vehicle. There are no suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.
