REPORTS


 

ROBBERY, 2020-02260251, Unit block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 9:04 p.m. on February 26, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered a business, selected merchandise and allegedly left the scene without paying. When an employee confronted the suspect outside the business, he threatned her before walking away. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 20 — 30 years old, 5'7" — 5'8" tall with short black hair and a tattoo on his neck. He was wearing eyeglasses, black jeans, black jacket and white shoes at the time of the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

SHOPLIFTING (Significant), 2020-02270241, 900 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 8:01 p.m. on February 27, an officer was on an unrelated call inside a business when she observed the suspect exit without paying for merchandise. The officer followed the suspect outside and commanded him to stop but he placed the merchandise down and ran across Army Navy Drive. The officer followed and, with the assistance of arriving officers, located the suspect hiding among vehicles and took him into custody without incident. Jason Washington, 28, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny and Obstruction of Justice. He was also determined to be wanted out of Washington D.C. for Robbery.
