REPORTS


BURGLARY, 2020-08130063, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 10:30 a.m., dispatch advised units working in the area that five suspects had gained entry to a secured business, stolen merchandise and had exited the store. An employee made contact with the suspects, who then re-entered the business, attempted to assault the employee, stole additional merchandise and fled. The suspects then exited to the garage and entered a vehicle determined to be stolen. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and make contact with the occupants, however, the vehicle escaped the perimeter, driving off at a high rate of speed. It was subsequently observed entering Washington, D.C. on I-395, where it was later recovered after it crashed into another vehicle and the suspects fled on foot. Suspect One is described as a Black male, 14-17 years old, wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants. Suspect Two, believed to be the driver of the stolen vehicle, is described as a Black male, 16-17 years old, wearing a black hoodie, dark pants, with short knotted hair. Suspect Three is described as a Black male, 14-17 years old, wearing a dark full zip jacket or hoodie and dark pants. Suspect Four is described as a Black male, 14-17 years old, wearing a red hoodie and dark pants. Suspect Five is described as a Black male, 14-17 years old, wearing a navy blue shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2020-08130087, 1400 block of Crystal Drive. On August 13, an online report was filed for the report of a larceny, which was subsequently determined to be a late report of a burglary. The investigation determined that at approximately 4:13 p.m. on August 9, an unknown suspect gained entry to a business and stole items of value. The suspect is described as a black male, bald, wearing a blue face mask, a blue shirt, blue shorts, white socks and tan shoes, carrying a yellow bag and a blue bag. The investigation is ongoing.
