Arlington County Board Announces Gutshall Memorial Fund
Published on May 08, 2020
Arlington County Board Chair Libby Garvey announced today the establishment of a memorial fund to honor Board Vice-Chair Erik Gutshall
and to support his children's higher education expenses. Gutshall died April 16, 2020, after a brief battle with brain cancer. He was 49.
"Erik devoted his life to giving to the community he loved," Garvey said. "He served Arlington as a volunteer, as a small business owner, as a County advisory commission chairman, and as a Board Member. My colleagues and I hope that many in our community will join us in honoring Erik's years of service, and in supporting his wife, Renee, and their three children, by contributing to this education fund."
Garvey noted that the fund was established by a generous donor who wishes to remain anonymous.
