MEDIA ALERT: Arlington County Kicks Off 2020 Census Season

Monday, April 1, which marks one year until National Census Day in 2020, Arlington County will kick off its Census season. 

With the goal of ensuring every Arlingtonian is counted in 2020, County Manager Mark Schwartz will appoint members to the Arlington County Census 2020 Complete Count Committee, which includes representation from demographic groups across the County. Arlington County Board Chair Christian Dorsey will offer a Census Proclamation; and School Board Member Barbara Kanninen will join the festivities. Ron Brown of the U.S. Census Bureau and Chuck Bean, Executive Director of the Washington Council of Governments, will talk about the importance of the Census to our entire region.

The kickoff will also launch the County's new Census 2020 website. 

What: Arlington County 2020 Census Kickoff

When: Monday, April 1, at 7 p.m. (Light refreshments at 6:30 p.m.)

Where: Arlington Mill Community Center (Columbia Pike), 909 S Dinwiddie St.

Parking: Parking if free in the garage for up to four hours. Paid street parking is also available.
