REPORTS


MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2019-05190107, 900 block of N. Pollard Street. At approximately 7:05 a.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the Office of the Magistrate for the late report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:30 a.m., the victim and known suspect were inside a residence when they allegedly became involved in a physical altercation in which the intoxicated suspect struck the victim multiple times and tackled the victim. The suspect then produced a knife and threatened the victim, and strangled him. The suspect and victim exited the residence and the suspect drove the victim to another location, where he again threatened the victim and cut the victim with the knife. The victim was able to escape after suspect fell asleep in the vehicle. Investigating officers located the suspect in his vehicle and he was taken into custody without incident. Robert Reyna, 20, of Fort Myer, Va., was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding, Strangulation, Abduction, Assault and Battery and Underage Possession of Alcohol. He was held on no bond.

ROBBERY, 2019-05190230, 3500 block of Fairfax Drive. At approximately 4:25 p.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered a business and began selecting merchandise, which he then concealed on his person. As the suspect approached the exit to the business, an employee confronted him and attempted to grab the merchandise, however, the suspect struck the employee with a closed fist and fled on foot prior to police arrival. The suspect is described as a tall black male, with a slim build, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2019-05170279, 4500 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 9:05 p.m. on May 17, police were dispatched to the late report of breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the victim's residence and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2019-05180202, 200 block of N. Barton Street. At approximately 5:17 p.m. on May 18, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to a residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2019-05180226, 600 block of N. Lincoln Street. At approximately 6:38 p.m. on May 18, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 8:00 a.m. and 5:35 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to a residence and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2019-05190203, 5300 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2:29 p.m. on May 19, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between 2016 and April 16, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a storage unit, causing damage, and stole items of value. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
