REPORTS


ROBBERY, 2019-03260175, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 4:14 p.m. on March 26, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that a male suspect entered a store and allegedly concealed merchandise. A store employee confronted the suspect and recovered some of the merchandise before the suspect displayed a knife and fled the scene. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 55 years old and weighing 175 lbs. He was described as wearing a long black coat over jeans, a dark winter hat, black boots and carrying a backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
