REPORTS


MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2019-12150013, 3100 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 12:31 a.m. on December 15, officers working the Nightlife Detail responded to assist with dispersing a large group of people exiting a business, when they encountered a victim who was suffering from multiple lacerations. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the victim and suspect were engaged in a verbal dispute, which escalated when the suspect  allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times. Arriving officers located the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries. Theodore Li, 33, of Alexandria, Va., was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding.

BURGLARY, 2019-12150025, 1600 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 1:10 a.m. on December 15, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 1:01 a.m., three suspects allegedly forced entry to a business, causing damage and stole items of value. Two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Arriving officers located the third suspect walking in the area in possession of stolen items. During the course of the investigation, the apprehended suspect provided false identifying information. He was later identified and determined to be wanted by the United States Marshals Service. Raymond Young, 63, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny, Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, Possession of Burglarous Tools, Burglary and Identity Theft. He was held on no bond. Suspect Two is described as a black male, 25-40 years old, wearing a dark jacket and jeans. Suspect Three is described as a black male, 25035 years old, wearing dark pants, a hooded sweatshirt and dark sneakers. The vehicle is described as a large white box truck. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2019-12130280, 1400 block of N. Filmore Street. At approximately 11:24 p.m. on December 13, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victims were inside when they heard someone enter the residence. Arriving officers located the suspect inside the residence and he was taken into custody without incident. Marvin Reyes Villa Aviles, 23, of Oakton, Va., was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2019-12150081, 5300 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 7:46 a.m. on December 15, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim arrived at their residence and allegedly located the unknown male suspect inside. Arriving officers took the suspect into custody without incident. Mynor Romero Len, 20, of Arlington, Va., was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Consumption of Alcohol by a Person Under 21. He was held on no bond.

BURGLARY, 2019-12150205, 3200 block of 9th Street S. At approximately 9:30 a.m. on December 15, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between December 10 and December 13, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry to a residence, causing damage. Nothing was reported missing from the residence. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2019-12140197, 2000 block of Richmond Highway. At approximately 7:26 p.m. on December 14, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that multiple unknown suspects forced entry to a business, causing damage. The suspects subsequently entered two vehicles belonging to the business and were observed pulling on door handles of other vehicles. Nothing was reported stolen from the business. The suspects fled prior to police arrival. The suspects are described as six black males, in their late 20's or early 30's, all wearing black coats with the hoods up, jeans and dark shoes. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2019-12130277, 2500 block of Lee Highway. At approximately 11:09 p.m. on December 13, police were dispatched to the report of an alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined that multiple unknown suspects forced entry to a business and stole the keys to multiple vehicles. The suspects subsequently entered and stole two vehicles. The suspects are described as black males. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2019-12150027, 2600 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 1:17 a.m. on December 15, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that multiple suspects forced entry to a business and stole the keys to multiple vehicles. The suspects exited the business and stole two vehicles, striking five additional vehicles while driving away. There are no suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2019-12140249, 3700 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 10:27 p.m. on December 14, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 8:18 p.m., multiple suspects forced entry to a business and stole the keys to several vehicles and later stole eight vehicles. While on scene investigating, police located a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen out of Annapolis, Md. on the property. One of the vehicles stolen from the business was subsequently located unoccupied in the area of Washington Boulevard and I-395 by an officer on patrol. The suspects are described as wearing jackets or sweatshirts with the hoods up. The investigation is ongoing.
