"Arlingtonians are big fans of farmer's markets, where they can mingle with their neighbors as they shop for healthy, locally grown foods," Arlington County Board Chair Katie Cristol said. "This farmer's market is in a great location, in a school parking lot near the Lubber Run Community Center. We wish it success."

The Board unanimously approved a Use Permit for the market to operate on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., from April through November, in the part of the school parking lot that fronts George Mason Drive. Field to Table, Inc. has a licensing agreement with Arlington Public Schools that allows them to operate the farmers market on school property.

The approval allows for up to 20 vendors at the latest addition to Arlington's growing array of farmer's markets selling locally grown fruits, vegetables and more across the County. The Lubber Run Farmer's Market will be in the Arlington Forest neighborhood, within walking distance of the Buckingham and Ballston neighborhoods.
