ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington County Police Department, Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management and Sheriff's Office invite the public to join us during the Arlington Women in Public Safety Outreach Event! Internationally, public safety continues to be male-dominated field but we recognize that to best serve our community, we need a staff that is representative of those we serve. This event highlights the dedicated work of Arlington's female public safety employees in keeping the community safe. This event provides residents an opportunity to explore the many career opportunities in public safety while promoting that these are professions for everyone.

This free family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, May 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Arlington Traditional School located at 855 N. Edison Street. The event will take place rain or shine.
