ROBBERY, 2017-07190260, 2400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway. At approximately 8:38 p.m. on July 19, officers responded to the report of an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that an employee was assaulted after confronting two male suspects attempting to steal merchandise. The suspects then fled the scene on foot with the merchandise. The first suspect is described as a black male in his fifties, approximately 5'7"-5'11" tall and weighed 200-250 lbs. He was wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a black male in his thirties, approximately 5'5"-5'8" tall and weighed 180-200 lbs. He was wearing a black hat, blue shirt, and black shorts. The investigation is ongoing.
