MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2016-12310076, 5700 block of N. 11
th Road. At approximately 4:54 a.m. on December 31, police were dispatched for the report of a stabbing. The investigation revealed that following a verbal altercation between known individuals, the male subject stabbed the female victim. The female victim was transported to George Washington University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Jose Vasquez Cuadra, 35, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding and Stabbing in the Commission of a Felony.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2017-01010111, 2300 block of N. 11
th Street. At approximately 5:25 a.m. on January 1, officers responded to the report of trouble unknown. Upon their arrival, medics were treating a male victim for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that following a verbal altercation, the male victim was allegedly assaulted by three male suspects he met earlier in the evening. The suspects are described as three black males of Ethiopian decent. No additional suspect information was provided.
ROBBERY, 2016-12310111, 2200 block of S Eads Street. At approximately 9:52 a.m. on December 31, officers responded to the report of a robbery that had just occurred. An unknown male suspect approached a male victim from behind and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, approximately 5'6"-5'7" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, and a plain white baseball hat.
ROBBERY, 2016-12310207, 500 block of N. Pollard Street. At approximately 5:56 p.m. on December 31, officers responded to the report of a robbery that had just occurred. During a transaction over a cell phone, the male subject stole the cell phone without paying and fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a black male in his twenties, with a medium build. He was wearing a blue hooded jacket.
ROBBERY, 2017-01020060, 3200 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 11:13 a.m., an officer on routine patrol was flagged down by the victim who reported they had just been robbed at gunpoint. The victim advised he was in the stairwell of a business when the unknown suspect produced a handgun and robbed him of an undisclosed amount of cash. A K9 track of the area returned negative results. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with an average build wearing a red and black hoodies and blue jeans.
BURGLARY, 2016-12300062, 1800 block of Fort Myer Drive. Between 9:00 p.m. on December 29 and 6:50 a.m. on December 30, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a business and stole numerous items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.
BURGLARY, 2016-12300241, 800 block of S. Randolph Street. Between 4:00 a.m. on December 23 and 6:00 p.m. on December 30, an unknown suspect(s) entered a residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. There is no suspect(s) description.
