Media Alert: 2016 Open Door Mondays Begin Tonight

Published on January 04, 2016

The Arlington County Board kicks off its 2016 Open Door Mondays tonight, Mon., Jan. 4, 2016, with a session from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Langston-Brown Community & Senior Center and Park.

A member of the County Board will be on hand to meet with the public the first Monday of every month throughout the year, at locations across the County, except County holidays, and during August and December. See the full schedule.

Open Door Mondays offer an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a County Board Member on any subject. No reservation is necessary -- just drop in and chat.

"Open Door Mondays are one more way for County Board members to hear directly from the public about issues of interest," said Arlington County Board Chair Libby Garvey. "These are very informal sessions — no need to make an appointment in advance, or fill out a form — just come, sit down and talk about whatever is on your mind."

Information gathered by Board Members during Open Door Mondays is shared with the full Board and with the County Manager, for any necessary staff follow-up.
