ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/ SEXUAL BATTERY, 161028033, 1200 block of S. Thomas Street. At approximately 8:11 p.m. on October 28, officers responded to the report of an attempted robbery. Upon investigation, it was determined a female victim was attempting to enter a building when an unknown male subject obstructed her entrance. The male subject grabbed her arm and pulled the victim down a flight of stairs where he touched her inappropriately. The subject then attempted to steal the victims purse, but fled the scene when the victim cried out for help. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his thirties, approximately 5'5" tall and 150 lbs. He was wearing a black jacket, dark pants, and had a black winter hat on.

ROBBERY BY FORCE, 161029049, 3000 block of S. Columbia Pike. At approximately 10:49 p.m. on October 29, officers responded to the report of a robbery by force. Upon investigation, it was determined a male subject assaulted a male victim and stole the tires from his bike. Officers located a subject matching the description the victim provided. Kavon Earl Hoffman, 29, of Washington D.C. was arrested and charged with strong arm robbery.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE, 161028023, 300 block of N. 1-395. At approximately 4:26 p.m. on October 28, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with stolen license plates. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was also stolen. James Staats, 51, of Alexandria Va, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property, driving while suspended, fictitious tags, and driving without insurance. He was held on a $5000.00 bond.

BURGLARY, 161029021, 2000 block of S. Eads Street. Between 7:45 p.m. on October 27 and 8:00 a.m. on October 29, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole numerous items of value. There is no suspect(s) description.

BREAKING & ENTERING, 161030065, 2500 block of S. Kemper Court. Between 10:01 p.m. on October 29 and 7:30 a.m. on October 30, an unknown subject(s) entered a residence and stole a bicycle. There is no suspect(s) description.
