Long-term Lane Closure on Arlington Blvd. - Expect Delays, Consider Alternate Routes - From March 1 until July, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close the left travel lane of westbound Arlington Boulevard from Courthouse Road to 10th Street for a utility relocation project. Additional temporary lane closures are anticipated to occur throughout the project as needed.
The VDOT utility work is the first step in a longer term project to address the dangerous intersection at Arlington Boulevard and Courthouse Road. VDOT has determined that it is necessary to close the left lane of westbound Arlington Blvd. in order to:

Metro construction trucks on I-66 - Beginning the week of Oct. 20, rail project construction trucks will begin using I‐66 inside the Capital Beltway during restricted hours during the day and at night. Trucks will not be allowed on I‐66 when HOV restrictions are in place. Find out more.
