H1N1 Vaccine Clinic Information
The H1N1 vaccine is the best way to protect against the 2009 H1N1 pandemic virus.
***In the event that Arlington County Government is closed due to bad weather, the H1N1 clinics will also be closed.***
The Arlington County Public Health Division is offering free H1N1 vaccine to all eligible individuals. All clinics will be on a walk-in basis as supplies last. No identification (ID) is required. Seasonal flu vaccine will not be offered at these clinics.
Who Is Eligible?
Everyone in the general public over 6 months of age is eligible to get the H1N1 vaccine.
As a reminder, it is still important for priority group members to get vaccinated because they are at a higher risk for flu or related complications. The priority groups include: pregnant women, people who live with or care for infants under 6 months old, people 6 months to 24 years, people 25 to 64 years who have chronic health problems or a compromised immune system, and healthcare workers/EMS.

If you plan to come to a scheduled H1N1 public flu clinic, please read this important information first.
Second H1N1 Doses for Children under 10 years
The CDC recommends that children under age 10 receive two doses of H1N1 vaccine separated by 4 weeks (28 days or more). Learn more about the second dose and what you need to bring. Children who turned 10 after their first dose do not need a second dose (but there is no harm if they did receive a second dose).
