Diversity Dialogues - How To Kit

Arlington County is committed to the Diversity Dialogue Initiative.  As a follow-up to the 2008 Diversity Dialogues, several organizations have hosted their own dialogues, and you can do it too.

The purpose of this “How-to Kit” is to empower you and other individuals and groups to continue the momentum of the Diversity Dialogues in Arlington. It is a toolkit that anyone interested in organizing dialogues can glance through. It contains resources, such as hyperlinks to The World Cafe and other web sites full of examples of dialogues held in other parts of the country and/or scholarly research on community conversation practices.

The broader goal is to promote further dialogue and an appreciation for the power of conversation. In sharing stories, we can connect on a deeper level with people we live and work with who may otherwise seem different from us.
