Cafés

Visit the Connections Café at the Walter Reed Community Center to discover opportunities for volunteer service, learning, recreation and social connections.  Over a cup of coffee, chat with a volunteer consultant to learn about ways you can connect.  You can search options on the Cafes’ computers (help provided) and make connections with other participants.

Seeking Connections Café Hosts

If the weekly Connections Café programs and volunteering both interest you, how about combing the two and becoming a Connections Café host?  Volunteer hosts greet visitors to the Café, explain the resources available to visitors (web sites, computer lab, upcoming programs), assist visitors in using the Flourishing After 55 and volunteer recruitment web sites, and assist in setting up and closing the Café.  Café volunteers also help collect information such as topics of interest to visitors. If you are interested in being a Connections Café host or would like more information, please contact Jennifer Collins at 703-228-4745.
