Voter Registration

Our mission is to maintain Arlington's list of registered voters and conduct elections in a fair, accurate and equitable manner.

Upcoming Elections: 2013

In 2013, Virginians will elect a new Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General, as well as all members of the House of Delegates. Arlington voters will also elect one member to the County Board and one member to the School Board.

The Democratic Party has called for primaries for all offices on the ballot (except School Board, where all candidates run as independents). Since more than one candidate filed for the offices of Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General, there will be a Democratic Primary for those two offices on Tuesday, June 11, 2013.

For all other offices, only one Democrat filed for the primary, so those candidates automatically become the party's nominees.

The Republican Party of Virginia will select their nominees for the top three state offices via a convention, and local Republicans will select their nominees for House of Delegates and County Board via party caucuses.

The Sample Ballot for the June 11 Democratic Primary is now available.

Important notice for military and overseas voters regarding the potential June 11, 2013, Democratic Primary

The General Election date is Tuesday, November 5, 2013.

Please see our Election Information Page for more information, including ballot information once it is available.
