BURGLARY-ARREST, 4/19/2011, 1100 block of S. Thomas Street. On April 17 at 11 pm, a man broke into his ex-girlfriend’s apartment and assaulted her. Jose Francisco Alvarado Mejia, 39, of Silver Spring, MD, was charged with Burglary with Intent to Commit Assault. He was held without bond.

MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED DWELLING, 4/19/2011, 1300 block of S. Arlington Ridge Road. On April 14 at midnight, an unknown subject fired a bullet into an occupied apartment. No one was injured. There are no known suspects.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING-ARREST, 4/19/2011, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. On April 18 at 8 pm, two young men argued over money, and one cut the other with a homemade weapon. Police located both subjects a short time later. Demetrius Taylor, 21, of Arlington, was charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.
