Come play with us! Enjoy Wii active video games plus old favorites such as Canasta, Mah Jongg, poker and bingo...or name your game and find new partners. Also popular are crafts, ping pong, line dancing, armchair bowling, travel videos and movie afternoons.

Volunteer With Senior Programs

Volunteers are an essential part of Arlington’s senior programs and activities. Help is needed in many capacities: from friendly greeters at the front desk, to party and activity organizers, to strategic planners, board members and advocates. Speak to a senior center director or contact the PRCR Volunteer Office to find out how you can get involved.

Volunteer in My Community

Ready for a new volunteer role in Arlington? We’re big believers that “Wisdom Works.” Working jointly with the Arlington County Volunteer Office and other partners, Arlington’s Wisdom Works steering committee is cultivating new ways for residents 55+ to help build a better community. Become part of Wisdom Works or use Volunteer Office resources to find out how you can make a difference.

Social Events & Clubs

Any excuse will do for a party...and you'll find all kinds of social gatherings on senior center calendars. Parties and other social events are advertised in the Arlington 55+ Guide and in senior center newsletters.

Or drop in for coffee and casual conversation:

  • M-F, 9-10 a.m. at Culpepper Garden – coffee and conversation
  • M-F, 9-10 a.m. at Langston-Brown – coffee and conversation
  • Tuesday and Thursday, 11 a.m. at Lee – coffee and conversation
  • First Wednesdays, 3:15 at Walter Reed – social hour with light refreshments
  • First and third Thursdays, noon at Culpepper Garden – buffet lunch, $4
  • Fridays, 10:30 a.m. at Aurora Hills – coffee and conversation
